This week, we're thrilled to announce the relocation of our trailer to our driveway! Now that all of our construction is complete, we've hauled our precious 2,000 lb baby home with us. We're moving our kitchen equipment in, and it's time to start testing out the facilities. Our fridge and freezer are now plugged in and running, and we are ready to fill them with vegan ice cream and other delicious goodies.
In the meantime, we've been testing out some pretty bomb shake flavors in our home kitchen, with help from our new ice cream maker, Lello!
The Lello Musso Pola 5030 is the smallest commercial ice cream maker on the market. Initially we were worried about finding a machine reliable enough to produce large quantities of ice cream throughout the day, but small enough to fit in our cozy kitchen. With this, we can churn out 6 liters of ice cream per hour, all day, every day. Small, with its longest dimension at 20", it fits nicely alongside our freezers and will be pivotal to our shake operation. It took a few months of searching for the perfect ice cream machine, but we couldn't be happier to have found it!
With this wonderful state-of-the-art equipment now on hand, we've been working on finalizing our menu. We are sticking to our mission to make as many of our ingredients as possible from scratch, including shake mix-ins such as toffee, caramel sauce, meringues, lemon curd, strawberry compote, mint extract, chocolate fudge, and more, all made entirely from plant products. We are also making our own coconut whipped cream!
We can't wait to share the fruits of our labor with everyone, which is why on July 4th, we'll be having a preview party, featuring all of the flavors pictured below (click the picture for more info), for our friends and Kickstarter backers!
