Rain, Rain, Go Away

For the past several days, we have been measuring, cutting, and weatherproofing our new floorboards, eagerly awaiting our next opportunity to install them. Unfortunately, April showers have been slowing down the construction process and keeping us indoors.

This is great news for our Kickstarter backers, since the time away from our trailer has given us an opportunity to really buckle down on producing and packing our rewards. Spicy ginger simple syrup is bottled up and ready to go, salted caramel sauce is currently in production, and strawberry basil jam will be on the stove this next week in our kitchen!

While I have been canning sweet sauces, Moni has been loading up custom mixtapes with space-themed tunes and creating stellar designs for stickers and t shirts, as well as these sweet business cards which we finally got in the mail!

Also, I finally made my chocolate ice cream base for Moni which we have been indulging in, topped with our deliciously light coconut whipped cream, while working over stoves and laptops. We are both confident that these will make the best vegan shakes that Austin has ever tasted.

All 20 of our fingers are crossed for some sunshine this weekend so we can go ahead and build our trailer’s new floor. Rainstorms, as well as possible hail and tornadoes, have been forecast for much of this week in central Texas and we are worried for our poor lil trailer as if it were our child, stuck out in the rain. We did manage to squeeze in some weatherproofing between showers though:
